What’s new in GstarCAD 2021: Point Cloud
GstarCAD 2021 supports two point cloud file extension (.rcp and rcs) as attachment in a drawing. GstarCAD users can apply object color and RGB scan colors to display point cloud data.
Small tips: How to find midpoint while drawing
The Object Snap is a useful way to snap the midpoint of an arc, elliptical arc, line, multiline, polyline segment, spline, region, xline, or solid.
DIMJOGLINE Command
A jog line means break in a dimensioned object. The jogged dimension is the actual distance of an object, rather than the distance measured in graph.
New 3D functionality in GstarCAD 2021: CONVTOSURFACE
The Convtosurface command is used to convert eligible objects into 3D surfaces.
New feature in GstarCAD 2021: PLANESURF
The Planesurf command is used to create a planar surface by selecting closed objects or specifying the opposite corners of a rectangular surface.
New 3D functionality in GstarCAD 2021: CONVTOMESH
CONVTOMESH Command is used to convert 3D objects to mesh objects. The objects are smoothed upon conversion.
GstarCAD 2021 new 3D functionality: CONVTONURBS
CONVTONURBS is used to convert 3D solids and surfaces into NURBS surfaces.
Quick Measure: without even clicking your mouse
Quick Measure is a new feature in GstarCAD 2021, which measures distance and angle between 2D objects along x, Y axis very rapidly and accurately by moving the cursor.
Relative coordinates VS. Absolute coordinates
When we use Relative Coordinates, we type the X and Y coordinates relative to the last point, it’s always about the last point.
When we use Absolute Coordinates, we type X and Y coordinates on the current coordinate system to locate the point relative to the origin. It’s always about the origin, the absolute (0,0).
New 3D command in GstarCAD 2021: Polysolid
GstarCAD 2021 has added Polysolid command, which is used to create 3D solid in a shape of a wall directly or by selecting existing polylines.
