We  know Replace long time ago and use it in a word processor to find and replace text, but in CAD, Replace is more than just that, it can also be used to dimension, block, and reference, etc.

1.Replace dimension

Enter “DIMSTYLE” in command line to show the Dimension Style Manager,

Modify other dimension styles or create new styles, and set properties for line, text, primary units, then select the dimension you want to be replaced to make it work.

2. Replace external reference

There are two ways to replace xref.

One is to enter XR to pop up the External Reference manager, and find the reference image in the drawing or dwg file. To replace it, we can rename the source xref and name another xref as that name, and reload to finish it.

The second way is to enter XR to pop up the External Reference Manager, and click the referenced image or dwg drawing, right click detach and then attach xref again.
