* Using Design Center

Although the block names are the same, but since they are in different drawings, so there is actually no connection between those same-name blocks in different drawings, that’s to say, there is no way they will automatically changes, but we can manually change them by using CTRL +2 to open the Design Center, and find the block to update and select the “Redefine only” in the right-click menu, as shown in the following picture,

If there are multiple blocks to update, we’ll need to the same operation multiple times.

* Use Tool Palettes to redefine block

Use CTRL +3 to open the Tool Palette and switch to the drawing, then choose the block to which we want the modifications to apply and drag them to the Tool Palette, then we switch to another drawing right-click the block we just dragged in, in the popped-up right-click menu, select “Redefine only”.

We’ll also get the same result as the first method. But since we usually put most commonly used blocks in the Tool Palettes, so we may need to delete the temporary blocks we just add.
