What is Quick Property in CAD and how to use it?

The properties palette, which can be opened by CTRL +1, displays parameters and properties of objects.

Some users may find unnecessary properties taking up a lot of the drawing space.

GstarCAD has provided Quick Property palette allowing users to focus on the object properties they prefer to save the limited drawing space.

How to turn on Quick Property palette?

  1. Click the Quick Property button in the bottom status bar, as shown in the following picture,

2. QPMODE

The QPMODE system variable is used to specify whether to display quick property palettes when selected objects.

The initial value for QPMODE is -1, we can change the value from -2 to 2.

0: turn off quick property palettes for all objects when selected all objects in drawing area
1: turn on quick property palettes for all objects when selected all objects in drawing area
2: turn on quick property palettes for objects that supportable in CUI editor for convenient displaying when selected
Please Note: if specified a negtive value for this system variable, turn off it but keep the value. Specify PICKFIRST system variable to be 1 to enable QPMODE.
