-A Field object is not a simple text applied to a drawing. It’s actually data linked to stored information.
-For example, you can take advantage of Field feature to measure the area of a room.
-You can use Text command to input AREA.
-Then right click mouse, select Insert Field from the menu.
-In the Field dialog box, select Objects from the field category list.
-Select Object option from field names list.
-Then click this button to select the closed polyline.
-You can use Area option from the properties list.
-For example, set the format as Architectural, select a precision and press Ok button.
-Now let’s see the power of field if the closed polyline is stretched.
-Execute Regen command to update the field data.
