Layer is one of the most important feature in CAD and it can be used in many ways to help users to better arrange and organize objects in a complex drawing.

In GstarCAD Mechanical 2023, there are 31 pre-configured mechanical layers associated with different objects. The Mechanical Layer Manager allows users to adjust layer properties such as color, linetype, lineweight, etc. and helps users create new and customized layers.

To access the Mechanical Layer Manager, find Home > Layer Panel > Mechanical Layer Manager, showns as below,

GstarCAD Mechanical 2023 allows Layer Group Manager to create multiple layer groups, each layer group contains several layers.

To access the Layergroup Manager, enter GMLAYERGROUP, shown as below,

The Layergroup Manager provides many useful and efficient tools such as Visibility Enhancements, Move Into, Highlight, etc. that can significantly streamline users’ workflow and help them better deal with layers.
