Sometimes we need to change the dimension units from imperial to metric. For example, the dimensions are currently displayed in inches and we want them to display in meters. This can be done using DIMSTYLE.

1.Enter Units command to set the drawing unit to Inches.

2. Draw a line of 10 in length.

 Enter DIMSTYLE to open Dimension Style Manager, click Modify, shown as below,

3. Go to the Primary Units tab, and set the scale factor as 25.4 (An inch is approximately 25.4 mm), shown as below,

4. Click OK, then the dimension changes automatically to 254, shown as below,
