The EXTRIM command

The Extrim command is used to trim one side of an object which is intersecting with other objects.

The object can be polyline, line, circle, arc, ellipse, image or text.

How to access the Extrim command

* When using GstarCAD Classic workspace, find Express > Modify > Trim Enhancement, as shown in the following picture,

* When using 2D Drafting workspace, find Express > Modify > Trim Enhancement, as shown in the following picture,

* Another way is by entering command name “EXTRIM”, as shown in the following picture,

How to use Extrim command?

  1. Start the command using one of the three ways above.
  2. After starting the command, we’re prompted to do the following,

For example, we choose this arc,

3. As soon as we select the arc, we’re prompted to specify the side to trim on,

Here we select the internal point of the arc, we can see the results shown in the following picture,
