the CHSPACE command

The CHSPACE command is used to transfer selected objects between model space and paper space.

How to access the CHSPACE command?

* When using 2D Drafting workspace,

Click Home tab > Modify > Change Space (CHSPACE), as shown in the following picture,

* When using GstarCAD Classic workspace,

Click Modify > Change Space, as shown in the following picture,

* Entering command name “CHSPACE”, as shown in the following picture,

Please note that we can’t use CHSPACE Command in Model Space, if we execute the CHSPACE command, we will get the following prompt,

How to use CHSPACE in the layout space

After executing the command, we are prompted to select object,

After selecting an object, we get the following prompts,

In the new space, the moved objects could be zoomed properly. Moving the object from model space to paper space, users could click the SOURCE viewport to specify the position of moved object. Moving the object from paper space to model space, users could click the TARGET viewport to specify the position of moved object.
