LOCKUP command is introduced to lock selected objects in a drawing with a password, preventing accidental modification or deletion.
That’s to say, users won’t be able to modify objects that have been locked.
1. Where to find LOCKUP command?
To access LOCKUP command, find Express > Drawing > LOCKUP in the 2D Drafting workspace, shown as below,
Or enter LOCKUP and press Enter key to execute the command,
2. How to use LOCKUP command in a few simple steps:
After executing the command, we will get the following prompt, we need to choose Y (Yes) to continue,
Then we are asked to select object that we want to be locked,
Just select the object(s) to be locked and then we are asked if we’d like to create a password,
Just enter the password and press Enter key to finish. Voila, now you have to enter the password in order to unlock and modify selected objects.
When you move your cursor over the locked objects, you can see the little lock mark, shown as below,
3. How to unlock objects?
Enter UNLOCK or find Express > Drawing > UNLOCK,
If the selected objects are locked with a password, just enter that password to unlock,
