How to calculate the area of an object?

CAD provides many ways to calculate the area of an object, do you know some other ways? Please feel free to share your experience by sending an email or leaving a comment below.

1.Check the Area Property of an object

If the object is closed such as a circle, area, hatch, etc, users can select the object and check properties such as Area and Circumference in the Properties Panel (CTRL +1 to open the Properties Panel), as shown in the following picture,

Not just closed objects, arc and polyline also have area property, as shown in the following picture,

Small tip:

If we need to copy the area, we can Enter List, then select an object, a gcad Text Window would pop up, as shown in the following picture,

2. Use Area command

CAD provides Area command (shortcut: AA), as shown in the following picture,

3. Calculate area using Hatch

If we want to calculate an area enclosed by several objects, we can use Hatch to calculate the area, and we can delete the Hatch later.

Using the Hatch to calculate the area applies not only to a single closed area, but also several such areas as a whole, as shown in the following picture,
