Breakline and Breakline Symbol

Breakline command is used to create a breakline, a polyline that includes the breakline symbol.

The options within this command are provided to control the relative size (Size) and appearance of the breakline symbol (Block) and an extension of the polyline beyond the selected start and end points (Extension), etc.

How to access the Breakline?

* When using GstarCAD Classic workspace, find Express > Draw > Brealine Symbol, as shown in the following picture,

* when using 2D Drafting workspace, find Express > Modify > Breakline Symbol, as shown in the following picture,

* Or just enter “BREAKLINE”, as shown in the following picture,

How to use the Breakline ?

After executing the command, we’re prompted to specify first point and second point for the breakline, then specify a location to place the break symbol,

Also we can choose Block, Size, Extension, etc at the following prompt,

How to customize the breakline symbol?

Block: determines the block to be used as the breakline symbol.

Therefore, we can customize the brealine symbol by entering the block name for breakline symbol,

Breakline too small? Change its size !

Size: determines the size of the breakline symbol.

Therefore, we can enter a value for breakline symbol size when we select Size, the default value is 1.00

Extension: determines the length of the line extension beyond selected points.

How to convert a line to breakline?

Specify line for breakline: specifies location for break symbol when you want an existing line to serve as breakline.
